Touray’s Football Academy continued their fine form in the BSC Nawettan League with a commanding 3-0 victory over newcomers Young Boys Stars of Jambanjelly on Monday.
Sheriff Sanyang gave Touray’s FA the lead in the 32nd minute, before Ousman Bojang’s own goal doubled the advantage in the 62nd minute. Muhammed Barrow wrapped up the win just two minutes from full time. The victory marks Touray’s FA’s second consecutive win, while Young Boys Stars suffered their first defeat following a successful opening match.
Manduar United and Bairo FC played out a thrilling 2-2 draw. Bairo FC initially dominated with a 2-0 lead, courtesy of Famara Gibba’s goals in the 19th and 53rd minutes, taking his tournament tally to five goals in two games. Manduar United staged a dramatic comeback with Yaya Jallow scoring in the 60th minute and Musa Marena converting a penalty in the 84th minute to rescue a point.
Defending champions Kabafita United were held to a goalless draw by Manokang. Both sides remain unbeaten after their opening matches.
The Kembujeh derby also ended in a 2-2 stalemate as Superstars FA clashed with rivals Sabou United. Omar Bajo struck early for Superstars in the 2nd minute, only for Abdou Ceesay to equalize two minutes later. Bajo restored the lead in the 27th minute, but Amadou Sanyang’s late strike in the
43rd minute earned Sabou United a share of the spoils. Both sides were seeking their first win after opening match losses.
As the BSC Nawettan season unfolds, teams continue to battle for early-season supremacy, with thrilling matches keeping fans on edge.
