The Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) met on Wednesday night in Abuja to discuss issues of national interest.
However, only 17 governors were at NGF’s secretariat in Abuja when the meeting, started with 15 from the All Progressives Congress ( APC).
Other governors in attendance were Charles Soludo of Anambra State and his Abia State counterpart, Alex Otti.
The duo are members of the All Progressives Grand Alliance ( APGA) and Labour Party respectively.
Although the agenda of the meeting was not made public, sources privy to it told journalists the governors are expected to discuss the tax reform bills initiated by President Bola Tinubu and other issues of national interest.

The tax reform bills has elicited mixed reactions in the country.
While many in the south, including the members of the National Assembly have declared their support for the bills, the 19 northern governors have voiced their opposition on the matter.
They rejected some sections of the bills and demanded the immediate withdrawal for more consultations and public input.
