Susso, Adama Bojang, and Ablie Jallow on target

Only Yankuba Minteh, Alasanna Jatta, and GK Ebrima Jarju started for their clubs, with Alasana Manneh, Abdoulie Sanyang, Abubacarr Barry, and Abdoulie Ceesay all coming from the bench in their respective leagues. Ebrima Darboe and Saikou Touray were all not involved upon returning from the national team.

England
Yankuba Minteh played the entire 120 minutes as Brighton lost to Nottingham Forest. Brighton’s Emirates FA Cup campaign came to an end as the Seagulls were beaten 4-3 in the Amex shoot-out.

Germany
Abdoulie Ceesay made his seventh Bundesliga appearance when he replaced Sinani in the 83rd minute; Bayern, however, held on to their 3-2 lead despite a late scare.

France
Ablie Jallow has scored in Metz FC’s last two home matches. Jallow, who was ruled out in March World Cup qualifiers, retained his position and went on to play 86 minutes in Metz’s 2-1 victory against Troyes on Friday evening. The win propelled the Grenats to register four wins in a row. Ablie Jallow’s solo effort in the half hour failed to be fruitful. However, Jallow extended Metz’s lead in the 82nd minute with a sublime finish.

Switzerland
The Zurich derby ended 2-1 with visitors Zurich FC winning the bragging rights. Adama Bojang’s goal in the 82nd minute brought back Grasshoppers in the game; Zurich held on and returned home with three points, which have now moved them to sixth position with 45 points.

Latvia
Latvian champions came from behind to beat Liepaja 5-1 at home to open a four-point lead atop the table. Haruna Rashid Njie and Modou Saidy were named on the bench. Njie was introduced in the final moments of the game when he replaced Karashima as he made his first appearance of the season.

Denmark
Vejle secured their first away win in 23 years when they beat Lynby in Sjælland. Vejle came from behind to secure a crucial 2-1 win, which even saw Vekić saving a penalty. Hamza Barry was handed a start as he replaced suspended Kirkegaard and lasted 89 minutes, while Musa Juwara was introduced in the second half in the 73rd minute. Hamza started the buildup for the equalizer, as the visitors scored the leveler in the 15th minute. Juwara, on the other hand, put a through ball for Onugha, but the pass was fast, and the visitor’s goalkeeper collected it. Vejle will now face Aalborg in hopes of securing another Superliga ticket.

James Gomez was introduced late in the game as Odense beefed up their defense to collect maximum points against AC Horsens. Sunday’s 1-0 is Odense BK’s first win in five attempts after securing four draws in a row. The victory has sent them nine points clear as they seek to return to the Superliga.

Sweden

The last time Elfsborg won a premier home match was back in 2020, when they beat IFK Göteborg 1-0; since then, they have now failed to collect three points on a season opener.

Visitors Mjällby AIF took the lead twice in the first half, but the host rallied and came from behind to snatch a draw. Abdoulie Manneh maintained his position in the starting XI and lasted for 75 minutes.

Gibril Sosseh was an unused sub in the Kalmar goalless draw in Jernvallen against Sandvikens IF. However, fans will be eager to see if Gibril will be handed his debut on Thursday when they host GIF Sundsvall.

Estonia
Muhammed Susso was handed his first start of the season, and the former Real de Banjul offensive player didn’t disappoint as he went on to score a brace, with one of his goals being a stunner. Susso was replaced by countryman Assan Corr in the 62nd minute. GK Ebrima Jarju kept his second clean sheet of the season after matchday four.

Slovenia
Susso Bamba registered his seventh league goal of the season when NK Aluminij won 5.0 against NK Tolmin. NK Aluminij temporarily moves to 1st position with 42 points.

Philippines
Modou Manneh’s brace and Ousman Gai’s goal were enough for Manila Diggers to beat Stallion Laguna on match day 16.
