Shettima leads Akpabio, Ganduje, others to APC final rally in Edo

Vice President Kashim Shettima on Saturday led a delegation of All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders to Edo State for the final campaign rally ahead of next weekend’s governorship election in the state.

Other APC leaders at the rally held in Benin City were Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, the party’s National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, state governors, and many others.

In his address, Shettima described the APC candidate, Monday Okpebholo, as a seasoned leader with a proven track record of excellence.

He said Okpebholo was the right man to take Edo to the next level.

The Vice President stressed the importance of unity and peace in achieving progress and urged the people of Edo to elect the APC candidate as the next governor of the state.

He pointed out that with the increase in allocation to states, the incoming government should have adequate resources to bankroll developmental projects.

In his remark, Ganduje also urged the people of the state to vote en mass for the APC candidate.

“The clouds of intimidation have been lifted and the ground is fertile for our party’s vision to flourish. Edo has become a symbol of literary and economic resurgence,” he said.

The APC chairman praised the party’s leaders in the state for their commitment to its success.

Okpebholo, who spoke shortly after he received the APC flag, promised to revive the state’s economy.
