QNET Pledges to Combat Scams and Misuse of Brand

By Binta Jaiteh

Banjul – QNET, a global lifestyle and wellness direct-selling company, has pledged to intensify efforts to combat scams and fraudsters who misuse its name and products in The Gambia and across West Africa.

The company addressed public misconceptions during a media workshop held on Friday, 5 December, at the Ocean Bay Hotel and Resort in Cape Point. The event, organized as the QNET Product Workshop for Media, aimed to provide accurate information on the company’s operations.

Cherif Abdoulaye, QNET’s sub-Saharan Regional General Manager, said the company’s name and products have been misrepresented in The Gambia and other West African countries. “QNET is a legitimate company that sells and promotes real wellness and lifestyle products worldwide. Unfortunately, some individuals misuse our brand to deceive others with promises of visas and overseas jobs. QNET does not engage in such practices,” Abdoulaye stated.

He urged the public to remain vigilant and report any fraudulent activity claiming to represent QNET to the authorities. “We are deepening our relationship with the media to ensure the public receives the correct information about QNET, which has been in operation for 27 years,” he added.

The company said it is collaborating with national security agencies and anti-graft organizations across West Africa to dismantle human trafficking and recruitment scams operating under its name. QNET has also implemented compliance operations, training programs, and reporting channels to prevent fraud.

Bernie Gaksch, QNET Global Product Trainer, demonstrated the company’s portfolio of wellness, lifestyle, personal care, home, travel, and education products, highlighting their international certifications and quality standards.

QNET noted that its anti-scam media and public education campaigns have been successfully rolled out in Ghana, Nigeria, Senegal, Burkina Faso, and Sierra Leone.
