Police bab two for allegedly collecting N14m ransom, killing Onitsha female banker

The Anambra State Police Command has apprehended two suspects accused of abducting and killing a female bank manager in Onitsha, despite collecting a N14 million ransom from her family.

Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, in a statement on Sunday, identified the suspects as 32-year-old Monday Egbe and 28-year-old Kenneth Nnoga. He stated that they were arrested on May 28, 2025, after intensive investigations led officers to their hideout in a neighboring state.

The victim’s body was discovered on January 13, 2025, along Nnobi Road, her eyes blindfolded and lifeless, days after the kidnappers had secured the ransom from her loved ones.
