NTRD to Monitor All Political Rallies and Nationwide Tours

By: Fatou Krubally

The No to Tribalism, Racism, and Discrimination (NTRD) Organization has announced plans to observe all upcoming political rallies and nationwide tours across The Gambia ahead of the next election cycle.

In a statement issued by its Executive Committee, the organization said the move is aimed at promoting peaceful, inclusive, and respectful political engagement as parties begin mobilizing supporters across the country.

According to the release, NTRD will deploy its members to monitor these events both in person and through social media platforms, to gather firsthand information on the conduct of political actors and supporters.

The organization further called on Gambians and residents alike to join in rejecting any form of tribalism, racism, or discrimination during the political process, emphasizing that unity and mutual respect remain vital for national peace and stability.

“Politics will come and go, but we will remain as one people and one nation,” the statement reads, urging citizens to uphold tolerance and coexistence regardless of political or ethnic differences.

NTRD reaffirmed its commitment to fostering national harmony and reminded all political stakeholders to conduct their activities in a manner that strengthens, rather than divides, the country.
