The Vice Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Professor Kabiru Bala, says that Northern Nigeria, particularly Kaduna State, is witnessing firsthand the consequences of deforestation and land degradation, erratic rainfall patterns, increasing temperatures, soil erosion, and declining agricultural productivity.
