The Nigerian currency, the naira, continued to slide against the American dollar at the official window on Wednesday.
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) foreign exchange data showed that the naira closed at N1,549.20/$1 as against the N1,545.26/$1 it traded on Tuesday.
This represents a loss of N3.94 for the local currency against the American greenback.
On the black market, the naira lost N5 against the dollar to trade at N1,605/$1, as against the previous day’s rate of N1,600/$1.

The naira closed flat against the British Pound to trade at N2,160/£1.
Similarly , the local currency closed flat against the Canadian dollar to trade at N1,200/CA$1.
It gained N5 against the Euro to trade at ₦1,795/€1 as against the the previous ₦1,800/€1.
