The Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, on Saturday advised President Bola Tinubu to remove the “excess baggage” in his government.
The governor made the call during the commissioning of the 14.1km Umuakali-Eberi Road in the Omuma local government area of Rivers State.
Mohammed, who said the governors have confidence in President Tinubu’s leadership, lamented that the actions of certain individuals in the government are undermining his efforts.
He stressed the need for decisive action by the president to achieve success.
The governor commended his Rivers State counterpart, Siminalayi Fubara for delivering good governance despite political challenges of the last 12 months.
Mohammed noted that he is no longer worried about Fubara’s performance or the perception of the people about his administration.
