Nigeria U-17 women’s football team, the Flamingos have reached the quarterfinals of the FIFA U-17 women’s World Cup after sealing yet another victory.
The Nigerian girls started off their campaign on a bright note, thrashing New Zealand 4-1 in their Group A opener earlier this week.
They put up another brilliant performance on Saturday night to thrash Ecuador 4-0 in their second game and sealed a spot in the last eight.
Flamingos sit comfortably at the summit of the group with six points from two matches, and will take on hosts Dominican Republic in their final group match on 23 October.
