Daru United Edge Amasa FC to Reach BSC Nawettan Semi-Finals

 By: Kemo Kenyi

Daru United FC have booked their place in the semi-finals of the Brikama Sports Committee (BSC) Nawettan League Cup after a hard-fought 1–0 victory over Amasa FC in what was described as a clash of titans.

After a slow start to the competition, Daru United showed remarkable improvement to reach the final four in one of the most competitive Nawettan zones in the country.

Lamin Gassama scored the decisive goal in the 35th minute, sending Daru fans into jubilant celebrations that lasted until the final whistle.

Amasa FC, known for their attacking flair, pressed hard for an equaliser but were repeatedly denied by Daru’s solid defence and disciplined teamwork throughout the game.

In another fixture, Citizens FC and Jaliba United played out a 2–2 draw in their rescheduled league encounter. The result was enough to send Jaliba United into the round of 16.
