Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) club Enyimba were held to a draw by Egyptian side Zamelek in their CAF Confederation Cup clash on Sunday.
The Group D clash played at the Godswill Akpabio international Stadium in Uyo saw both sides play out a 2-2 thriller.
Seifeddine Jaziri opened scoring for Zamalek in the 31st minute and Omar Faraj four doubled their lead just minutes before the break.
But Enyimba pulled a goal back in first half stoppage time through Ifeanyi Ihemekwele, before Ufere Chinedu equalised for the hosts in the 57th minute.
The People’s Elephant had other chances to win the game but were let down by their poor finishing.
Enyimba now have one point from two games in the group, and will travel to Black Bulls of Mozambique for their next encounter.
