Brikama Man Pleads “Guilty” To Assault Causing Actual Bodily Harm

A man from Brikama Wednesday appeared before Brikama Magistrates’ Court on charges of assault causing actual bodily harm, contrary to Section 196 of the Criminal Offences Act 2025.

Sarjo Touray, the accused, appeared before Magistrate K.B. Sambou on charges of assault.

Sgt. 4812 J. Preirra represented the Inspector General of Police, while the accused, Touray, was unrepresented by a lawyer.

According to court records, Touray allegedly stabbed another man in the face on 20th October 2025 in Brikama, West Coast Region, causing injury to the victim.

After the charge was read out in court, Touray pleaded guilty to the charge.

The case has been adjourned to 12th November 2025 for the presentation of facts and possible sentencing.
