“In a remarkable show of appreciation, a newly established fans club in Soma has been named after Musa Bah, a Personnel Assistant to President Adama Barrow. The gesture comes as recognition of Bah’s unwavering dedication to supporting the President’s national development aspirations and his steadfast commitment to the ruling National People’s Party, NPP.

The association, comprising more than 150 women and youths, including students, announced the honour during a gathering in Satasita. The group’s president, Mariama Mankajang, praised Bah’s extraordinary devotion to nation building and his consistent efforts in advancing President Barrow’s vision of infrastructural transformation and socio economic progress.

“Musa Bah has stood by the President with unmatched loyalty and energy. His commitment to the development agenda is inspiring, and we felt it was fitting to name our fans club after him,” Mankajang declared.

The establishment of the fans club underscores President Barrow’s long standing emphasis on women’s empowerment as a cornerstone of national development. With over 150 members, all registered voters, the group has pledged its unflinching support for the Gambian leader as he prepares for the 2026 presidential election.

The women of Soma, through this initiative, have demonstrated their readiness to rally behind the President’s National Development Plan, which prioritises infrastructure, education, and social inclusion. Their decision to honour Bah reflects not only his personal contributions but also the broader recognition of the role women play in shaping the country’s democratic and developmental journey.

Musa Bah’s Enduring Commitment

Bah, widely respected within the government and beyond, has been credited for his tireless efforts in mobilising support for President Barrow’s agenda. His work has gone beyond administrative duties, extending into grassroots engagement and advocacy for the President’s vision of a modern, prosperous Gambia.

The fans club members emphasised that while many individuals within the NPP contribute to the party’s success, Bah’s dedication stands out. His consistent presence and active involvement in community mobilisation have made him a symbol of loyalty and service.

As the country approaches the 2026 presidential election, the Musa Bah Fans Club has vowed to remain a strong pillar of support for President Barrow. Their commitment reflects the growing influence of women and youth in Gambian politics, aligning with the President’s desire to empower these groups as agents of change.

The naming of the fans club after Bah is not only a personal honour but also a testament to the synergy between President Barrow’s leadership and the grassroots support that continues to drive his national development priorities.”
