Wally Seck to Face Full Hearing on December 2nd in Financial Crimes Case

By: The Fatu Network News Desk

Wally Seck is scheduled to face a full substantive hearing on December 2nd after the president of Senegal’s financial crimes investigation panel set the date for his interrogation.

The singer, who is indicted in a case involving Amadou Sall, the son of former president Macky Sall, is being investigated over a disputed vehicle transaction and has paid 240 million CFA francs as a condition for provisional release.

This comes after his recent appearance before Senegal’s financial crimes court in Dakar, where he was brought by the Division of Criminal Investigations, known as the DIC.

The broader inquiry stems from reports by Senegal’s financial intelligence unit, known as CENTIF, which flagged suspicious financial flows valued at about 5.6 billion CFA francs, around ten million US dollars, tied to Amadou Sall.
