McKinstry Names Scorpions Squad for World Cup Qualifiers

Gambia head coach Johnathan McKinstry has announced a 23-man squad for the national team’s final two World Cup qualifiers against Gabon and Seychelles later this month.

Injuries have ruled out Adama Bojang and Abdoulie ‘Bambalie’ Sanyang, while Sheriff Sinyan will miss the matches due to a one-game suspension for card accumulation. James Gomez and Abdoulie Ceesay return to the squad as replacements.

Goalkeepers: Ebrima Jarju, Sheikh Sibi, Boubacarr Gaye

Defenders: Omar Colley, Abubacar Sedi Kinteh, Momodou ‘Lion’ Njie, James Gomez, Alagie Saine, Sainey Sanyang, Joseph Ceesay, Muhammed Sanneh

Midfielders: Ebrima Adams, Abubakr Barry, Mahmudu Bajo, Jesper Ceesay, Mouhamadou Drammeh

Forwards: Abdoulie Manneh, Musa Barrow, Alieu Fadera, Yankuba Minteh, Abdoulie Ceesay, Adama Sidibeh, Ali Sowe
