62-year-old dog owner drowns rescuing pup from Long Island river: cops

Catherine Andreau, 62, of Babylon, was staying in a houseboat along the Connetquot River in Oakdale when her dog suddenly plunged into the waters around 1:30 a.m., according to Suffolk County Police.
